Karen & Iain’s wedding at Vaucluse House & Dunbar House

We had a spectacular Autumn Sunday for Karen & Iain’s wedding in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney in early March. Karen’s incredible Justin Alexander gown was stunning to photograph as was her flawless look created by Amy Chan. Robyn Pattison is one of Sydney’s most loved Celebrants and is always a pleasure to work with making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a pretty colourful bouquet (my Brides tend to like white and pastel) and these lovelies from Best Buds suited the colour scheme of the wedding perfectly.

Dunbar House provided the usual gourmet delights as did Faye Cahill the classic cake.

Michelle & Julian’s Sydney wedding at Catalina’s

I was looking through my archives and could not believe I had not yet blogged Michelle & Julian’s wedding!

It was stunning and Michell & Julian were great to work with, coupled with incredible skies and locations I was a very happy photographer indeed.

Michelle’s look was created by Susan Markovic from Make Up Mode and Leearna Zammit from Upstyle Girl, whilst her incredible bouquet and all the reception flowers were by Milly Blooms.

Michelle & Julian chose to have a ‘first look’ to enable them to move from their ceremony straight to the party with their guests – an idea which I love.

Their location photos were taken at a private property and we them moved onto Catalina’s for the ceremony & reception. Just missing a dramatic storm meant we could hold the ceremony on the balcony with a great backdrop of blue clouds.

I had a lot of fun at the end of the night finishing off the film of the left over disposable cameras … hopefully there were a few surprise photos in there from me !

Angie & Nick’s wedding at Moby Dicks Whale Beach

Angie & Nick’s wedding was a much anticipated event, long in the planning all done by the gorgeous bride herself ! Most of their guests were coming up from Melbourne for the weekend as that is where Angie & Nick are from, so they had friends dotted all around whale beach for a few days. I believe there was a spectacular after party and pool party ‘recovery’ the following day.

Angie’s vision for the day was really unique and totally ‘her’ personal style. Angie is a stylist herself and make all the decorations – what a talent ! I adored her Jenny Packham gown and stunning flower crown from Wild Lotus. As you can see it was quite a windy day -but this only added to the drama and excitement of the ceremony and did make for some great expressions.

This was my first time at Moby Dicks and boy was I impressed ! The food was incredible and I loved how it was served as a banquet rather than individual plates. The view is of course perfect for a beach lover and although you can add your own special touches to the venue – it is quite spectacular just as it is.

Natalie & Chris’s wedding at Chateau Elan & Wandin Valley – Hunter Valley

It’s been a while since we were in the Hunter for a wedding – I think even over 2 years – although I have been there for pleasure since then :-)

Natalie & Chris’s wedding was particularly beautiful – you can’t go wrong with a mix of Mira Mandic, Kilts, Slide McBride and clear blue skies. It was a first to shoot at Wandin Valley and after the night had ended (for us) I realised what a perfect venue this was for Natalie & Chris.

There was a great energy all day and I think we captured it pretty well. You could feel the love and friendship in the atmosphere, and with everyone laughing and joking all night it was hard not to feel a part of it all.

It was a 32 degree day but not one complaint from stunning Natalie and handsome Chris who must have been very hot – they were just having a ball.

It’s December and wow what a year it’s been – a couple more weddings for you before Christmas coming up and then I look forward to doing a ‘faves of 2013’ post in the new year.
