Sarah & Ben’s wedding at The Boathouse Palm Beach

Sweetness huh ?! I was so glad Sarah approached me to cover her and Ben’s intimate day after I shot her sister Laura’s wedding many years ago. Sarah and Ben opted for a ‘first look’ for their location photos prior to the ceremony, so after the ‘deed was done’ they could get straight into partying with their family and friends. Ben had a lot of family travel from Italy for the wedding and I have to say I love to photograph Italians at an emotional event like a wedding – they’re so passionate and don’t hide it ! Ben’s Dad made their very special secret family recipe Tiramisu Cake for the end of the night which was an incredibly personal touched that I just loved.

Carla & Ross’s wedding at the MCA

I’d lie if I said I didn’t cry at this wedding … in fact, I have a little tear at most of my jobs these days …I love emotion, I love capturing emotion, and I’m quite an emotional person – which is perhaps why I’m drawn to such an emotional job like wedding photography ! These two lovebirds decided on a ‘first look’, which is becoming increasingly popular these days, to enable them to get straight to the party after the ceremony. Carla exudes warmth and beauty and Ross is completely enamoured with her – I love seeing this especially in couples that have already been together for many many MANY years ! It was a very stylish night and I loved hanging with them, their friends and family – really great folk !

Michelle & Julian’s Sydney wedding at Catalina’s

I was looking through my archives and could not believe I had not yet blogged Michelle & Julian’s wedding!

It was stunning and Michell & Julian were great to work with, coupled with incredible skies and locations I was a very happy photographer indeed.

Michelle’s look was created by Susan Markovic from Make Up Mode and Leearna Zammit from Upstyle Girl, whilst her incredible bouquet and all the reception flowers were by Milly Blooms.

Michelle & Julian chose to have a ‘first look’ to enable them to move from their ceremony straight to the party with their guests – an idea which I love.

Their location photos were taken at a private property and we them moved onto Catalina’s for the ceremony & reception. Just missing a dramatic storm meant we could hold the ceremony on the balcony with a great backdrop of blue clouds.

I had a lot of fun at the end of the night finishing off the film of the left over disposable cameras … hopefully there were a few surprise photos in there from me !

Samantha & Jake’s wedding at Curzon Hall

Samantha and Jake’s flawless day started for me at the Peir One. I love shooting there because the colour scheme is neutral and white which goes with any bridal party. It’s always nice to be on the harbour as well of course !

Their ceremony was in a new spot for me at Curzon Hall in the back called the Eternal Garden – very private and lovely. Samantha’s bridesmaids were in cute purpley pinkish 50’s inspired outfits (Bridesmaids Only) that really popped against all the green colour in the venue.

It was a pretty serious party and I know because I was there till the end ! Dancing dancing and laughing was all I saw for the last 2 hours of the night.
