Kellie & Gavin’s wedding – Camelot and Gardens on Forest

I’m so looking forward to seeing Kellie & Gavin this weekend for their album collection – it looks amazing if I do say so myself :-) !  I’ve actually also made a sample fine art album for my office of this wedding as it suits it perfectly.

We did a ‘first look’ which is becoming increasingly popular for many reasons among brides & grooms.  It was quite emotional and in a beautiful spot – Camelot property in Camden.

I love how both Kellie & Gavin stuck to their own true style on this day – Kellie is a lover of all things antique and wore a stunning Helen English gown, and a bouquet from Clementine Posy, whilst Gavin rocked up in Converse – awesome !

Kellie’s flawless makeup was also created by Makeup by Megan

The ceremony and reception were both held at Gardens On Forest and Kellie did a great job of making everything look romantic and sweet – you just can’t beat fresh flowers on a cake – I love it.

Enjoy the story,

With love,

Nerida

UPDATE: This wedding has now been featured on Polka Dot Bride for full vendor list and more photos :-)

Kate & Richard’s wedding at Gunners Barracks Mosman

Kate & Richard were so blessed with a sunny day as that morning and the previous day it was non-stop rain!

Kate & Richard have a great energy between each other and I felt that really came across in their pictures.  So relaxed and comfortable with each other and very smitten !

Kate’s wedding dress was by Jennifer Regan and make up by Christina Cleary.

Their ceremony and reception was at the timeless Gunners Barracks Mosman where I shoot and lot and really love.  I love the food and service as well as the view and all the surrounding places to take great pics of the Bride & Groom.

Enjoy !

Working from home

I wasn’t sure I would like working from home – but it seemed to be the most logical decision after having my baby girl last year.

Now,  I love it – after having Daisy I was overwhelmed with the magic of motherhood and made the decision pretty quickly to go back to work part-time and give away the studio.  I’ve never looked back.

My home office is in Lilyfield in the Inner West of Sydney – it’s a long process changing my business address with google maps I’m afraid so I’m still listed as Beattie St, Balmain – but I’m working on it !

Now I shoot exclusively once a weekend (no doubles or triples) and a maximum of 25 weddings a year.  This is a great work/life balance for me and also means I can give each client I do have, much more attention.

I’ve only ever posted one photo of Daisy Sue on the blog – so here is an update – isn’t she gorgeous ?  I honestly could spend every minute of my life with her she is truly special.
