Carla & Ross’s wedding at the MCA

I’d lie if I said I didn’t cry at this wedding … in fact, I have a little tear at most of my jobs these days …I love emotion, I love capturing emotion, and I’m quite an emotional person – which is perhaps why I’m drawn to such an emotional job like wedding photography ! These two lovebirds decided on a ‘first look’, which is becoming increasingly popular these days, to enable them to get straight to the party after the ceremony. Carla exudes warmth and beauty and Ross is completely enamoured with her – I love seeing this especially in couples that have already been together for many many MANY years ! It was a very stylish night and I loved hanging with them, their friends and family – really great folk !

Emma Blake Floral

Well hello there – and happy new year !

I wanted to start off the new year with this post of my great friend and talented colleague Emma Blake. She kindly let me photograph her for a stock photography project I’m doing. Emma and I met years and years ago and hit it off straight away – I love a girl with a great sense of humour and Emma has it in bucket-loads.

Emma does incredible arrangements – I just love her whimsy bouquets and choice of flora. She is based in the stunning Southern Highlands of NSW – but will travel outside this area for special jobs as she did for this client where she set up the flowers for a marquee in Centennial Parklands.

I look forward to posting lots more in 2016. I have a gorgeous new baby girl, Matilda who is now 6 months and we our out of the ‘fog’ so to speak, of the early days. We’ve decided we have our hands full now with 2 amazing daughters so this is my last baby and I’m cherishing every moment ;-)

Kerryn & Daniel’s wedding at Jaspers Berry

What more can I say about this wedding that the photos don’t say themselves (I hope!).
Supremely stylish, fun and elegant couple Kerryn & Daniel chose to have their wedding at my new favourite venue Jaspers Berry. What a photographers delight !
Kerryn’s stunning and unusual gown was by Mira Zwillinger from Helen Rodrigues. Carla Jones made the girls look glamorous while Daniel looked ever so smart in a suit by Mister Mister and finally Jane Zwar did the officiating by creating a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Karen & Iain’s wedding at Vaucluse House & Dunbar House

We had a spectacular Autumn Sunday for Karen & Iain’s wedding in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney in early March. Karen’s incredible Justin Alexander gown was stunning to photograph as was her flawless look created by Amy Chan. Robyn Pattison is one of Sydney’s most loved Celebrants and is always a pleasure to work with making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a pretty colourful bouquet (my Brides tend to like white and pastel) and these lovelies from Best Buds suited the colour scheme of the wedding perfectly.

Dunbar House provided the usual gourmet delights as did Faye Cahill the classic cake.
Wishing Karen & Iain a lifetime of happiness and fulfillment in their married lives !
