Karen & Ricardo at Sails Restaurant

Karen & Ricardo came to me through and old colleague Peter from Zoom Photography & Video – I was so stoked he got in touch.  Karen & Ricardo contacted me at just the right time, as I had stopped taking regular sized bookings and they were looking for 2 hours coverage from 5pm – 7pm.

If you’ve read my About Me Page, or, perhaps seen my updates on social, you’ll be aware I am now exclusively offering 2 and 3 hour digital wedding photography packages.  Karen & Ricardo asked me to shoot for 2 hours which included a few portraits of them before the ceremony, the ceremony, and then some family pics afterwards.  I LOVE covering these types of events as it gives me the best of both worlds !  That is, using my skills as a photographer and covering beautiful moments, and being able to spend time with my family on the weekends as I’m not contracted out for 8+ hours.
I’d love to quote on your wedding if you’re looking for 2 or 3 hours coverage – give me a buzz and I’ll check my calendar for dates – I’m booking in a maximum of 2 of these a month :-)

Lorretta & Nick at The Royal Automobile Club of Australia

It really is the best when I get to shoot wedding with people I know – not my nearest and dearest because of course – I’d like to be a guest instead ! But … siblings of friends mostly is what I mean.  Here I got to shoot my great friends brother and his blushing bride – what a treat it was to witness all their family gathering and celebrating in the one place.  These moments are so precious and meaningful and it’s an honour to make their tangible memories come to life.
I particularly loved Lorretta’s red lips and Nick’s army regalia.
I also got to shoot in a very sentimental church St Peter Chanel in Hunters Hill.  This is where I grew up and spent every Sunday morning as a youngster with my parents and younger brother – it holds many memories for me, of Christmas, of local friends and of many peaceful moments.  Congrats to these two lovebirds !

Adela & Patrick at Sergeants Mess

I met Adela & Patrick over Skype as Adela lived in Singapore and Patrick lived in Sydney – it was the only way to get the 3 of us in a room together !  Adela is graceful and sweet and Patrick is clearly besotted with her … I loved watching them interact on the day with respect and romance towards each other…. they have a great love story that crosses the oceans.  Having Korean heritage meant they decided to include a Korean tea ceremony which I’ve shot once before – and at Sgnt’s Mess too – it’s very colourful and fun !  I dropped off their album just last week and they loved it – I always want to keep my latest client albums as samples :-)

The Bar at the End of the Wharf

Something a little different for me last week. Food and lifestyle pics for Fresh Catering’s venue The Bar at the End of the Wharf.  We had the perfect day weather wise to shoot for their needs and I had great fun working with a completely different subject matter – i.e. not people !  Such a great place to enjoy the harbour no matter what the weather, the venue has super high ceilings that I love and lots of natural interior materials …. not to mention great coffee, cocktails and food.
